I tend to appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into getting it right the first time without having to mix. My preference is bourbon, and I have to recommend the Four Roses Single Barrel as possibly the softest bourbon I’ve ever tried. While I’m not interested in small batches, the single barrel is exceptional. Jack Daniel’s single barrel is also extremely smooth.

I was also surprised as we all know that whiskeys like Ellington Reserve and Pendleton come from the same factory and are basically alcoholic beverages with a label on the bottle. Still, I don’t recommend this product as there are at least some “real” Canadian whiskeys on the US market that are worth the price of the glass they come in. Lot 40 is a great example of high quality Canadian whiskey that is actually available. Pendleton is a blended Canadian whiskey that is distilled by Hood River Distillers, Inc. Besides, nothing can convince me to drink this whiskey again.

I think you have too much time, but the taste caught my imagination. I think you should drink this slowly, study it, and focus intensely on the flavors. If I had gone to a bar and ordered a glass of something good, and that is what the bartender gave me, I would have assumed I would have served some lightly ripened / flavored rum.
